In today’s episode of The Questionable Garage, we’re hitting a massive milestone in the restoration of my dream muscle car, a 1970 Plymouth Sport Satellite. This journey has been full of surprises, and today, we’re diving into the heart of what kickstarted this entire rebuild—the rear glass surround.
This section of the car was completely rusted away, and it’s what set me on this path to transform a nightmare into my forever car. The challenge is no small feat—working with a piece that’s virtually disintegrated means every measurement has to be spot-on. There’s no room for error as I carefully reconstruct the rear glass surround from AMD parts and some custom patches, ensuring it not only fits perfectly but also maintains the car’s structural integrity.
